1. Join the only organization in Vermont specifically geared to professionals in this role, and expand your networks of professional peers and colleagues
2. Tell others about your qualifications as an instructor of professional development, which could lead to instruction or related professional opportunities such as consultation, mentoring, facilitation, and program evaluation
3. Receive a certificate suitable for framing
4. Work easily with people who must hire instructors from the Instructor Registry
5. Receive invitations to participate in relevant professional development opportunities for yourself
6. Your participation can be a part of your Individual Professional Development Plan (IPDP)
7. Helps you meet the requirements for professional development credits for teacher licensure or licensure renewal (Colleagueship and Accountability in the Vermont Department of Education framework)
