I am planning to pursue my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, should I take specific courses in an associate degree program? Yes. Vermont has several institutions that offer Early Childhood Education or related field Bachelor's degree programs, each varying in approach and scope. While we are working to develop stronger articulation agreements for transfering students, you should spend time with your CCV Academic Advisor to find courses that will transfer to four-year institution of your choice. If you would like to do some preliminary investigations, try the Admissions Office for Champlain College, Lyndon State College (click the Admissions link on the left hand side and select Transfer Students), Union Institute and University (scroll down to the bottom of the page for Admissions information), or the Registrar's Office at the University of Vermont. In addition, see Woodbury College's program offerings. I have a CDA. Does that mean I have an associate degree? No, however, a prospective CDA candidate can take associate degree level courses that are aligned to the CDA areas and count them toward their 120 hour professional development requirement.
